Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how LCAY Innovations (“we”, “us”) handles information in the Bharat Parking mobile application (package com.lcayinnovations.bharatparking, the “App”). Bharat Parking is a business tool used by parking operators and their staff to manage vehicle entry and exit at parking premises.
1. Information we collect
The App collects only the information needed to operate a parking facility:
- Account information — the email address and display name of staff who sign in (parking admins, managers and guards), and their assigned role and work location.
- Vehicle and parking records — vehicle registration (number plate), vehicle type, owner name and type, entry and exit times, gate and location, fees, and any notes entered by staff.
- Photos — photographs of vehicles captured at entry and exit using the device camera, and an optional establishment logo.
- Location data — when location capture is enabled, the App records the GPS coordinates of the device at the moment a vehicle entry or exit is registered, to tag the record with where it occurred.
- Subscription status — whether the establishment holds an active Google Play subscription, used to unlock paid features.
We do not collect data from children. The App is not directed at children and is intended only for use by parking-business staff.
2. How we use information
- To authenticate staff and control what each role can see and do.
- To record, display and report on vehicle entries and exits.
- To capture and show entry/exit photographs as proof of parking events.
- To send in-app and device notifications for overdue vehicles.
- To manage the establishment’s subscription and paid features.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Camera and location permissions
The App requests the camera permission to scan number plates and capture vehicle photos, and the location permission to tag parking records with where they occurred. These permissions are used only while you are actively using the relevant feature. You may decline or revoke them in your device settings; related features will then be limited.
4. On-device processing
Number-plate recognition runs entirely on your device using Google ML Kit. Camera frames used for live scanning are processed locally and are not uploaded. Any data the App uses to improve scanning accuracy over time is stored locally on the device.
5. Where data is stored
Account, parking, photo and location data are stored using Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage), operated by Google. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and protected by access rules that limit visibility to the establishment’s own staff. Subscription purchases are processed by Google Play.
6. Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. Information is shared only with the service providers that make the App work — Google (Firebase and Google Play) — and only as needed to provide the service, or where required by law.
7. Data retention
Parking records and photos are retained while the establishment uses the App, so that staff can view history and generate reports. The establishment’s admin may delete records, and account data is removed when an account is deleted (see below).
8. Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account and associated profile data from within the App: open Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. You can also request deletion online from our Account & Data Deletion page. This removes your staff profile and sign-in credentials. To request deletion of other establishment data, contact us at the address below.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted transport and server-side access rules. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
